I am delighted to offer my support to Elliott Grondin as Communications Chair in the new Young Liberals of Canada executive. I am confident that Elliott and the rest of Team Olsen are running to advance the ideals of the Liberal Party of Canada. I have been fortunate to work with Elliott in the past. His passion and commitment make him a great candidate for the YLC. I am confident that this team has the vision, creativity and commitment to guide and encourage the YLC. As your Member of Parliament, I am proud to see young leaders stepping up and taking their place to introduce initiatives to strengthen our party and advance the priorities of young Canadians.

Liberals know that climate change is one of the defining issues of our generation— not just for Canadians, but for young Canadians in particular. A strong and vibrant Young Liberal organization that knows how to dream big and work hard is critical to pushing forward and delivering progress for all Canadians. I’ve seen Liam work with Young Liberals across Canada to do just that, and I know without question that he is the best choice for National Chair of the Young Liberals of Canada. I am happy to offer my support to Team Olsen and their bid for the Young Liberals of Canada. Young Liberals are crucial to our growth as a party, and this team has a strong understanding of what it takes to engage, mobilize, and inspire young Liberals. I would also like to support Angelica Voutsinas as she seeks to become the next Women’s Representative of the Young Liberals of Canada. Her experience and dedication as a young Liberal and advocate for women would make her a fantastic addition to the YLC Board.

From the 2015 election to the present, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Liam’s ability to mobilize and organize Young Liberals right across the country. He has what it takes to grow the YLC in all corners of Canada, and I couldn’t be more pleased to endorse his candidacy for Chair of the Young Liberals of Canada.

I am very proud to announce my support for Team Olsen today. I especially want to recognize Madison and Elliott for their nominations. Women and youth need to be better represented in Canadian politics and in our movement. I am fully convinced that they have the skills and qualities to carry out the tasks they will have to accomplish. They will undoubtedly succeed in overcoming the challenges they will face in the next mandate. To the entire team, know that your involvement in politics is essential to ensure a better future for all Canadians. Please continue to get involved and make your voice heard. I am proud to support Team Olsen in their bid to form the new executive of the YLC. Team Olsen has shown a deep understanding of young Canadians’ issues, especially Quebecers. They have a clear vision of how the YLC can play a critical role in shaping the future of our country. They have a proven track record of working collaboratively with diverse groups of people, and I am confident that they have the skills and experience necessary to unite and inspire the next generation of Liberal leaders. As a MP, I have had the pleasure of working with Madison Lalonde, who is running for Vice Chair (English). Her dedication, passion, and leadership skills have continually impressed me. I am confident that she will continue to go above and beyond as she did in her role as Section Chair of Young liberals of Canada (Quebec). With their leadership, I am confident that the YLC will continue to be a powerful force for positive change in our country.

I am proud to support Elliott Grondin as he runs for the position of Communications Chair of the Young Liberals of Canada.  Elliott has demonstrated a deep understanding of our party, our country, and its different regions, especially rural Quebec. I am confident that Elliott will work tirelessly to engage young Canadians in politics and to make their voices heard. Elliott Grondin has the ability to bring our organization together and work with the different levels of government to advance the priorities of young French and English Canadians.

Engaging young people in the political process is key to our long term success. Team Olsen understands that our politics should be about advancing ideas as much as winning elections, and that we need to engage and amplify the voices of Young Liberals in our party. I look forward to seeing all that Liam and his team accomplish. 

I am thrilled to offer my full endorsement to Team Olsen for the board of the YLC. Every one of them has shown exceptional leadership skills and they have a proven track record of bringing people together to achieve common goals. I am confident that their vision, experience, and dedication will lead the YLC to new heights. Madison and Elliott, who are both from Quebec, will work tirelessly to engage and empower young Canadians from coast to coast, and ensure that every voices are heard loud and clear in the political discourse of our country. As a previous Policy Chair on the Young Liberals National Board myself, I know the importance of Young Liberals within the Party. They have, and continue to be, the ones who push our Party with the greatest, more progressive, policies and issues across Canada. I am proud to be endorsing Liam as National Chair and Madison as Vice-Chair English for the Young Liberals of Canada National Board. Their dedication, ideas, and energy are all things that will bring the Young Liberals to take back their place in the Party. Now more than ever, we need young people to be guiding us to be the most inclusive and progressive party we can be, and I know that Team Olsen will be the one to do that.

I support Team Olsen and their bid for the YLC. Youth action is core to the Liberal Party and Team Olsen has a vision for the YLC and their place in the party by increasing engagement with youth and encouraging youth involvement in our elections. I also strongly support their commitment to inclusion on being a Canada wide slate that includes two Indigenous people. Javin Ames-Sinclair will bring a great outlook as VP Policy.

As female co-chair of the Indigenous Peoples Commission I am endorsing Liam and #TeamOlsen. Team Olsen has a proven track record for Inclusivity, good politics, and hope and hard work. As our leader says, "young people are the leaders of today and tomorrow." I truly believe this and see it in their commitment to UNDRIP, the environment and being our politicians of today and the future. I am also excited to see not one but two Indigenous candidates on Team Liam. I want to congratulate Liam on having Indigenous people on his team!

I endorse Team Liam Olsen and the work they are doing to make the Liberal Party a more inclusive space for women and Indigenous peoples. Youth are integral to the Liberal Party and I am proud to see the hard work his campaign is doing and will continue to do on the YLC.

I strongly believe that we need Youth and especially Indigenous youth at the decision and policy making tables. That is why I am proud to give my support to Team Liam Olsen and their commitment to having a diverse slate where Indigenous youth are not only included but prioritized.

I am happy to be able to endorse the Liam Olsen for National Chair. We have chatted about policy, organization and growing membership. As a former Young Liberal and current Chair of the Liberal Party of Canada - Newfoundland and Labrador I have a unique perspective and appreciation for the Young Liberals and their role in our party. We are in great hands with Liam Olsen and his team.

Young Liberals were a key part of my campaign in Nepean, and they’re also key to our party’s future. Seeing Team Olsen’s work and bold vision to re-energize the Young Liberals from cost-to-cost is inspiring, and it bodes well for the future Liberalism in Canada. Few people in politics have the gift to in a few words make a lasting impact on someone. Liam and his team have this. I am grateful to consider Liam both a friend and colleague and have had the opportunity to see his ability to grow a community of young liberals. As chair of the IPCO I have seen first-hand his commitment to Indigenous inclusion by running not one but two gifted Indigenous youth candidates on his slate. Javin will bring enormous talent and experience as VP Policy, and Jordan Derochie brings hard-work and dedication to IPC-Youth.

Being the proud son of hard working Canadians like my dad who works on drywall, I've seen first hand the challenges ordinary people face. I'm often sceptical of people running for offices but after getting to know Liam Olsen, I can testify that he's the real deal. He will stand up and fight for you, I know this because in the short time since we became friends, he's already helped me personally on many occasions! On top of that he is running with an incredible slate of people like my best friend Sadie Cann who would be the best recording officer we could ever ask for! Team Olsen has my full support and I cannot wait to see what they do when they win!

From the moment I met Liam, I knew he was a passionate young liberal with a genuine interest in helping others to get more involved. I got to know Liam as my Liberal McGill president and later as an amazing friend. Liam and his slate has something that no other candidate has and that is Quebecois representation. As a Quebecer, I feel it is important that my interests are recognized. No other candidate has put forth a slate this representative of Canada as a whole. From Saskatchewan to British Columbia to Newfoundland, Liam's slate truly represents a face of young liberals from coast to coast to coast.

I fully endorse Team Olsen, and I am confident they will provide the required leadership to move the party forward. Having known Liam for over half a decade, I know his passion for the Young Liberal movement and his vision for what this movement could be. As President of the UBC Young Liberals, I have on many occasions turned to Liam for advice, due in part to his success with the McGill Young Liberals but also his openness to innovative ideas in reinvigorating the youth of our party. This slate of candidates not only represents many aspects of our country, but it also has the experience and the vision needed to both broaden and push our movement forward.

Raj is one of the best Young Liberals I know. He has always made the time to help me restart the University of Calgary Liberals. Raj’s commitment to Young Liberals also extends far beyond his official capacities; he’s an excellent mentor and a skilled election mobilizer. In a stage of post-pandemic restoration, we need an Organization Chair with a strong drive and passion for supporting Young Liberals across Canada. Raj is exactly that person, and I’m happy to endorse him for Organization Chair!

I am endorsing Liam Olsen in his race to be National Chair of the Young Liberals of Canada because I believe he has the ideas, energy, and leadership necessary to help revitalize the organisation. He is already regularly communicating with people across the country to ensure that every young liberal is equally valued, regardless of their rank, and I believe that best exemplifies the characteristics needed in a leader. Liam Olsen is a genuine leader who has a true understanding of the issues faced by Young Liberals in Saskatchewan and has shown that he is dedicated to overcoming them. As part of the race for the presidency of the Young Liberals of Canada, I am proud to announce my support to my friend, Liam Olsen. Today we see a lot of political apathy from young Canadians. Politics is hard, and it takes its toll on you; I often question whether I am cut out for it. Liam Olsen is the type of person that works tirelessly to make politics more welcoming, compassionate, and progressive. I have enjoyed working with Liam in the YLC (BC) executive. I am always inspired by people like Liam and his team, who much like me, got into politics to fight for those who have been left behind. As Communications Chair for YLC (BC), I am equally thrilled to offer my endorsement to Elliott Grondin for Communications Chair. His background and political experience will serve the YLC well while increasing representation for LGBTQ Canadians in politics. One of Liam’s greatest talents is his ability to bring people together, especially when working towards a larger goal.
